Car Rental at Vienna Airport – Schwechat
If you are arriving at Vienna International Airport (Schwechat), you can rent a car from AUTO-RENTAL and arrange convenient vehicle collection directly at the airport or transfer to our Bratislava office.
We monitor your flight arrival time, so if your flight is delayed, we can adjust the agreed vehicle handover accordingly.
How does car rental at Vienna Airport work?
There are two options for collecting your rental car at Vienna Airport.
1. Vehicle delivery directly to Vienna Airport
Your rental car can be delivered directly to Vienna International Airport – Schwechat at the agreed time.
Before your arrival, send us the information required to prepare the rental agreement together with your flight details. We monitor the flight arrival online and our representative will meet you at the agreed location at the airport.
The rental agreement and vehicle handover are then completed according to the agreed procedure.
2. Transfer from Vienna Airport to our Bratislava office
Alternatively, we can pick you up at Vienna Airport and provide transportation to our AUTO-RENTAL office in Bratislava.
At our office, we complete the rental agreement and hand over the selected vehicle to you.
What do I need to rent a car?
For a private rental, you need:
- a valid ID card or passport,
- a valid driving licence held for at least 2 years,
- a debit or credit card.
The minimum driver age is 23 years.
For a company rental, a valid extract from the Commercial Register is also required. The rental agreement must be signed by the company's managing director or an authorised representative.
Payment and refundable deposit
Rental can be paid by debit or credit card. Cash payment is possible by prior arrangement.
A refundable deposit is required when collecting the vehicle. The amount depends on the selected vehicle and its category. When paid by card, the deposit is temporarily blocked and released after the vehicle is returned without damage.
Vienna Airport collection outside opening hours
Our standard opening hours are:
Weekdays: 8:00 – 18:00
Weekends: 9:00 – 18:00
Vehicle collection or delivery outside standard opening hours is possible by prior arrangement.
